A Message from Christopher Hope, Executive Director of The Loop Lab
I’m writing with some big news. After deep reflection and in light of today’s challenging philanthropic and economic environment, we’ve made the incredibly tough decision to phase out The Loop Lab Studio for now.
This means we’re no longer taking on new client projects.
We have begun to inform all of our current clients and are fully committed to completing all current projects. This decision doesn’t come easy. Over the years, our Studio has partnered with hundreds of nonprofits, universities, companies, and creatives to tell stories that matter.
We’ve also paid out thousands of dollars in wages to young Black, Brown, and Asian artists in Greater Boston—many getting their very first paid opportunities in the media industry.
I want to say thank you. To all of our past and current clients that have trusted us with your projects, we appreciate your confidence and support. It has been our honor to serve you. To our staff, alumni, and every partner who believed in this work—you’ve helped build something powerful, and we’re proud of what we accomplished together!
But The Loop Lab is far from done. Our Media Arts and Pro AV workforce programs are still going strong, training and launching the next generation of creative leaders. You can learn more at www.thelooplab.org
If you’ve ever been moved by our mission, please consider supporting us with a donation here.
And most importantly, stay connected—sign up for our email list so you can be the first to know what’s next.
This isn’t the end. It’s a refocus.
With love and gratitude,
Christopher Hope
